Rezoning for Bloomfield 2nd Addition, Carrousel Plaza Townhomes, Evermoor, and Evermoor 3rd Additionr CITY OF ROSEMOUNT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR ACTION City Council Meeting Date: March 20, 2001 AGENDA ITEM: Rezonings in accordance with approved AGENDA SECTION: developments /final plats: Bloomfield Second Consent Addition; Carrousel Plaza Townhomes; February 10, 1998 Evermoor; Evermoor Third Addition; Carrousel Plaza Townhomes PREPARED BY: Rick Pearson, City Planner AGENDA ATTACHMENTS: Draft Ordinance, Maps APPROVED BY: September 19, 2000 March 28, 2000 SUMMARY The recommended rezonings are essentially "housekeeping ". They are procedural "follow - throughs" that come after final plat approvals. Public hearings have been held with the Planned Unit Development reviews, and in all cases, rezoning to the appropriate zoning district was a condition of approval. In many cases, Council has tabled action on rezoning pending final plat approval. One advantage to this is the simple legal description that goes into the ordinance. The "down side" is that sometimes the rezonings can be overlooked when final plat is approved, and developers are no longer putting as much pressure on a given project. For example, Evermoor and Evermoor 3rd Addition final plats were approved on September 19, 2000.
