Added to'this bid are miscellaneous controller costs of $15,000 and the yet undetermined cost to get electrical power to the site. Currently with this bid the estimated construction cost is $64,000 under the feasibility report cost. The bid format on the project allowed the contractors to propose various "alternate" equipment items for consideration. The attached bid tabulation summarizes the alternate equipment offerings and shows deducts, if any, for incorporating them into the project. Based upon the information we have reviewed, we recommend the City of Rosemount make a contract award to Landwehr Construction, Inc. as the apparent low, responsive, responsible bidder. All bids on construction of the Marcotte Pond Lift Station Improvements are hereby received and tabulated. 2. The bid of Landwehr Construction, Inc., in the amount of $282,136.00 for the construction of said improvements are in accordance with the plans and specifications and advertisement forbids is the lowest responsible bid and shall be and hereby is accepted. 3. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Rosemount. 4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of all successful bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been executed.
