The official newspaper will publish all required legal documents and notices for the City. Bids were received from the three local papers: Sun Newspapers, Thisweek Newspapers, and the Rosemount Town Pages. Currently the Rosemount Town Pages is the official newspaper. They have added e -mail to receive public notices which is very convenient for all departments. The Rosemount Town Pages has added color occasionally to their front page and the format was improved this year. The paid circulation is up to 1 ,2 00 for the Rosemount Town Pages. The Town Pages bid is the lowest, nearly half the cost of the other two newspapers (51 %) for camera ready notices. It is my recommendation to continue using the Rosemount Town Pages as the city's official newspaper. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to designate the Rosemount Town Pages as the City's official newspaper for the year 2001. (b) The Rosemount Town Pages is issued weekly, 52 weeks per year. (c) The Rosemount Town Pages newspaper averages 45 percent of its printed space to paid advertising material and public notices. The balance of printed space is given to news of local interest, sports and community events. (d) The Rosemount Town Pages newspaper has a paid circulation of 1,200 and distrib- utes up to 1,200 without charge to residents on the Farmington post office delivery. (e) The Rosemount Town Pages newspaper is based at 320 Third St. in Farmington, Minnesota. (f) A copy of each issue of the Rosemount Town Pages newspaper is mailed directly to the state historical society. (g) The Rosemount Town Pages newspaper is available to anyone who is a paid sub- scriber, or is distributed to them free of charge. (h) The Rosemount Town Pages newspaper has complied with all the foregoing condi- tions for over one year immediately preceding date of notice of publication. (i) The Rosemount Town Pages newspaper publishes second -class statement of owner- ship and circulation, sworn to by the Farmington U.S. Post Office and a copy of same will be filled with the Secretary of State before Jan. 1 of each year.
