APPRO Y:
Cub Foods, d.b.a. Supervalue Holdings, Inc., has requested an off -sale 3.2 % Malt Liquor License for
their new store at 3784 150 Street West. The City has received the application, fees and proof of
insurance. Staff would like to continue the investigation process during the time prior to the public
hearing suggested to be August 7 Cub's opening date is September 1.
There is no limit to the number of Off -Sale 3.2% Malt Liquor Licenses in the City of Rosemount. Cub
Foods would like to be a full service grocery store and allow 3.2% beer and 3.2% wine - cooler sales. At
this time, staff sees no reason to deny this request.
Staff recommends setting a public hearing on August 7, 2001, at the regular City Council meeting as
soon after the start of the meeting as possible.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION to set a public hearing to consider a request for a Off -Sale I
3.2% Malt Liquor License for Cub Foods on August 7, 2001.
