COORDINATORS
The suggested list of officers, committee members and coordinators for the next year is attached. I am
recommending the same people as ratified last year. Annually, according to fire department policy, these
people need to be approved by city council.
The safety officer, a function of the assistant fire chief, needs to be approved officially for OSHA requirements.
The training coordinator and fire prevention positions were filled by volunteers, who I am sure will do a fine
job.
The fire department looks to city council for ratification of these appointments.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE THE TRAINING COORDINATORS, FIRE
PREVENTION PERSONNEL, SAFETY OFFICER, CAPTAINS AND LIEUTENANTS AS
ATTACHED FOR THE POSITIONS AS INDICATED WITHIN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR
THE NEXT YEAR.
