Monies for this pumper replacement have been in the 10 -year CIP. On March 20 the City Council approved
the lease- purchase plan for 2001 *N-hich included the funding mechanism for this purchase.
Assistant Fire Chief Mike Haeg and a committee of firefighters have put together specifications for this new
pumper. These have been written as to encourage numerous bidders and hopefully some very competitive bids.
Once bids are received they will be brought to City Council for consideration, acceptance or rejection.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO AUTHORIZE THE FIRE DEPARTMENT TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE 1978 PUMPER.
