On June 1, 1999 the City Council adopted a resolution receiving the Feasibility Report for the
Rosemount Business Park Phase 2 Street and Utility Improvements, City Project #308. At that
time, the Rosemount Port Authority was not ready to proceed with the next phase of the
Business Park, so the Report was placed on file. However, a segment of the project, the
Biscayne Avenue Watermain between CSAH 42 and 160 Street did proceed in 1999 as City
Project #312.
The Port Authority is now ready to move forward and Staff and the Consulting Engineering firm
of SEH, Inc. is recommending setting a public hearing for March 6, 2000 at 8:00 p.m. or as
soon thereafter as possible. The public hearing is necessary in order to preserve the City's
ability to assess costs back to benefiting property owners under Chapter 429 of the State
statutes.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE ROSEMOUNT BUSINESS PARK PHASE 2 STREET AND UTILITY
IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT #308.

RESOLUTION 2000 -
A RESOLUTION SETTING THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR
ROSEMOUNT BUSINESS PARK PHASE 2 STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT #308
WHEREAS, City Council received the Feasibility Report on June 1, 1999 prepared by the
Consulting Engineering firm of SEH, Inc., with reference to the improvements entitled
Rosemount Business Park, Phase 2 Street and Utility Improvements, City Project #308,
and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost - effective and feasible.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEMOUNT,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the Rosemount Business Park Phase 2 Street and Utility
Improvements, City Project #308, in accordance with the report and the
assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the
improvement of $1,635,000.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvements on the 6th day of
March, 2000, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 8:00 p.m. and the Clerk
shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as
required by law.
ADOPTED this 15th day of February, 2000.
