Reaffirming Precinct Polling Locations` CITY OF ROSEMOUNT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR ACTION CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: JUNE 6, 2000 AGENDA: REAFFIRMING PRECINCT POLLING LOCATIONS AGENDA SECTION: CONSENT PREPARED BY: LINDA JENTINK, CITY CLERK AGEN : 6 ATTACHMENTS: RESOLUTION, MAP APPROVED BY: Rosemount has five precincts with polling locations in or near each precinct. I will be looking at splitting Precincts 1 and 4 in 2002. These areas have had the most recent growth and with the completion of the 2000 Census the County will have the needed information to justify adding two precincts. Dakota County staff and I went to each precinct on May 4 th to verify phone connections for the new election equipment. All polling locations were very helpful and willing to assist. I did add an additional gym for Precinct 1 at Shannon Park Elementary to ease the expected crowding at the General Election in November.
