This final plat is being requested to accommodate a third company in the Business Park. In addition, this
provides an opportunity to complete much of the anticipated improvements to the city -owned portion of the
Business Park. ROW will be identified for the remaining streets, the Geometrix lots will be combined, three
additional lots will be platted and revised pipeline easements will be identified on the plat.
The end result will be a site for a 70,000 sq. ft. building with expansion potential to 120,000 sq. ft., west of
Cannon. Originally, Cannon had the ability to expand onto the site. But Cannon's option to do so lapsed.
Therefore, it will be a "stand- alone" building site. The project will include street construction to extend
Boulder Avenue to the southwest corner and to Biscayne Avenue. Because the plat is adjacent to CSAH 42,
Dakota County will have the authority to review the plat based upon the Contiguous Plat Ordinance.
The Planning Commission reviewed the final plat on February 22, 2000. A public hearing is not required for
final plat approval. Staff responded to the Commissioners questions.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Motion to adopt a resolution approving the final plat for the Rosemount Business Park.

RESOLUTION 2000-
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FINAL PLAT FOR
ROSEMOUNT BUSINESS PARK SECOND ADDITION
WHEREAS, the Community Development Department of the City of Rosemount received an
application for final plat approval for Rosemount Business Park Second Addition on land legally
described as:
The North Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 32, Township 115, Range 19, except the
South 13 feet of the East 525 feet thereof, and except Lot 1, Block 1, Rosemount Business
Park and county right -of -way, according to the U.S. Government Survey thereof, situate in
Dakota County, Minnesota.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Rosemount reviewed the final plat
application for Rosemount Business Park Second Addition at their regular meeting on February
22, 2000; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission adopted a motion to recommend approval of the final
plat to the City Council as required by the Subdivision Ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount reviewed the final plat application.as
required by the Subdivision Ordinance on March 6, 2000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Rosemount hereby
approves the final plat for Rosemount Business Park Second Addition, subject to comments by
the Dakota County Highway Department.
ADOPTED this 6 day of March, 2000, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount.
