On Sale Liquor License on Public PremiseCITY OF ROSEMOUNT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR ACTION CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: June 20, 2000 AGENDA ITEM: On -Sale Licenses on public premise AGENDA SECTION: CONSENT PREPARED BY: Dan Schultz Parks and Recreation Director AGE ,6 , H ATTACHMENTS: To improve the quality of service offered at the Rosemount Community Center, City of Rosemount welcomes on -sale liquor license holders exclusively from the cities of Rosemount, Apple Valley, Eagan, Hastings, Inver Grove Heights, Coates, Lakeville and Empire Township, to serve intoxicating beverages at the Community Center. The Longbranch Saloon and Eatery (Desert Enterprise) comes before the City Council to be approved for an On -Sale License n Public Premise. This policy enables local on -sale establishments a chance to expand their business through the Community Center and safeguards the City and the customer with added insurance protection. The Rosemount providers are not required to pay a fee for t ie On -Sale License On Public Premise, non- resident providers are required to pay a fee of $100. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve the Longbranch Saloon and Eatery (Desert Enterprise) for On -Sale License On Public remise, for purposes of serving intoxicating beverages at the Rosemount Community Center, to expire December 31, 2000.
