Between Danville Avenue and Danbury Avenue along 1461h Street West, the low area of the street and the surrounding area flood during the Spring and during major rainfall events. The subdivision diverts most of the street stormwater runoff to 146th Street, where it is designed to discharge overland through backyards to 1451' Street and ultimately to Hawkins Pond to the north and Twin Puddles Park to the south. Due to the extensive flooding, we are proposing that the City complete a feasibility to study the construction of storm sewer to collect the stormwater and minimize the flooding in the area. The proposed improvement would include catch basins at the low point of 146th Street and the installation of storm sewer to 145" Street where it would connect to an existing catch basin. Funding for the project would be drawn from the Storm Water Utility Fund. Staff recommends adopting the attached Resolution to direct Staff to begin work on the report. RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTON ORDERING A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE BROBACK 3rd ADDITION STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT #319 COUNCIL ACTION: r r CITY OF ROSEMOUNT DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2000 - A RESOLUTION ORDERING A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE BROBACK 3RD ADDITION STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT #319 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount deems it necessary to investigate the feasibility of the Broback 3`d Addition Storm Sewer Improvements, City Project #319. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Staff is directed to have the necessary feasibility report prepared for the Broback 3' Addition Storm Sewer Improvements, City Project #319.
