Joan Goettsch has submitted her letter of resignation effective June 1, 2000. Staff request that the Council
accept Ms. Goettsch's resignation and authorize staff to begin recruiting for her replacement.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to accept Ms. Goettsch's resignation and authorize staff to begin
the recruiting process for the position of receptionist.

Dear Dan:
This letter is written to confirm our conversation of last week in which I informed you
of my decision to retire. I would wish to complete my last day of employment on May
31st; however, if, it more convenient for the department and finance, I would certainly
be willing to finish the week, ending employment rather on June 2, 2000.
I have enjoyed working for you and the Parks and Recreation Department and wish you
well in all your endeavors.
