Bloomfield Landscaping ImprovementsCITY OF ROSEMOUNT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR ACTION City Council Meeting Date: September 5, 2000 SUMMARY On August 15, 2000, several residents of Bloomfield Addition participated in the public comment portion of the meeting. The primary concern was the lack of landscaping and maintenance for occupied buildings in the development. Staff has reviewed the landscaping plan and notified the developer (CMC Heartland) of the default of the subdivision agreement. The developer has been given until September 29, 2000 to rectify the situation. The required landscaping includes: 1. Boulevard tree plantings 2. Foundation plantings 3. Screening plantings adjacent to the County Garage site 4. Sod and irrigation. In addition, there is construction debris located in several areas of the development. This debris is a violation of City ordinances and must be removed immediately in a lawful manner. There are also several house and townhouse units that are not secured. In order to pre -empt action by the City to draw down from the letter of credit, the following shall be completed: 1. By September 8, 2000, the City shall be notified of the developer's plan to accomplish the landscaping. 2. By September 29, 2000, the City expects the work to be completed.
