This item requests a change in parking regulations on Biscayne Avenue north of 145' Street
West. From County Road 42 to 145th Street West on Biscayne there is no parking either side.
Both Chippendale Avenue and Shannon Parkway are posted the same.
North of 145" Street on Biscayne parking is allowed in certain areas. These areas were
exceptions to the parking regulations because of Knutson Rubbish Inc.'s need for on street
parking. Knutson Rubbish has since moved out of town.
With the future extensions north on Biscayne Avenue, we would like to be consistent';and sign
all. of Biscayne Avenue no parking.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION DIRECTING PLACEMENT -0F NO
PARKING SIGNS ALONG BOTH SIDES OF BISCAYNE AVENUE FROM145TH. STREET WEST NORTH
TO BONAIRE PATH.

RESOLUTION 2000 —
A RESOLUTION DIRECTING PLACEMENT OF NO PARKING SIGNS
ALONG BOTH SIDES OF BISCAYNE AVENUE FROM
145TH STREET WEST NORTH TO BONAIRE PATH
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount is interested in the safety of its
residents; and
WHEREAS, the continued development in the City of Rosemount has.produced high volumes
of vehicular and pedestrian traffic within the City of Rosemount; and
WHEREAS, vehicle parking along various segments of Biscayne Avenue north of 145th Street
West does create a hazard.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount directs
the installation of the appropriate "No Parking" signs on both sides of Biscayne Avenue from
145th Street West north to Bonaire Path.
ADOPTED this 18th day of April, 2000.
