This item is on the agenda for Council to consider the ordering of a Feasibility Report for the
Section 31 Sanitary Sewer Improvements, City Project #317.
Dakota County will be constructing the County Road 46 /Trunk Highway 3 project beginning in
2000. The property north of County Road 46 between Chippendale Avenue and Biscayne
Avenue is currently in the MUSA, and may need sanitary sewer service in the future. This area
would best be served with sewer from the west. The installation of some sewer pipe along
North Connecting Road, concurrent with the County's project, could reduce the future cost for
sewer construction.
Since this is not a petitioned project it will require a 4/5 vote at all phases to proceed. If
Council takes the recommended action the following schedule would be considered:
Order Feasibility Report April 4, 2000
Receive Feasibility Report/Order Public Hearing April 18, 2000
Public Hearing /Order Plans & Spec's May 2, 2000
Approve Plans & Spec's /Order Ad for Bid May 16, 2000
Receive Bids June 16, 2000
Award Contract June 20, 2000
Construct and Complete Project August, 2000
Staff recommends we move forward with the project and take the action as recommended
below.

A RESOLUTION ORDERING A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR
THE SECTION 31 SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT #317
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount deems it necessary to investigate
the feasibility of the Section 31 Sanitary Sewer Improvements, City Project #317.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Staff is directed to have the necessary
feasibility report prepared for the Section 31 Sanitary Sewer Improvements, City Project
#317.
ADOPTED this 4th day of April, 2000.
