The Council is asked to approve the expenditure of monies from the Equipment Fund to pay for two (2)
portable radios. Primarily the reserve officers and community service officers will use these radios, however,
they would also be used by police officers when their radios are sent in for repairs. Currently, the Department
does not have any radios available for use by the reserves or CSOs. With the recruitment of five reserves to the
department, there will be increased demand and need for these radios in the future.
Total costs to purchase the radios and chargers is $1303.77. There are monies in the Equipment Fund to cover
these expenses.
RECOl�iI�ZENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE THE EXPENDITURE OF $1303.77 FROM THE
EQUIPMENT FUND FOR THE PURCHASES DESCRIBED.
