City Council directed staff to look into extending hours to 6:00 p.m. for residents to handle building permits,
motor vehicle licensing and Park and Recreation registrations. I recommend we begin with extended hours on
Tuesdays only and evaluate the cost effectiveness of the extended hours after one year. The daily hours were
changed January 1 to also further the availability to the public to 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m.
No formal action is necessary by the City Council to make this change. It is planned to begin April 3, 2000.
Additional notice will be made with a press release and notice in the City News.
