The item is on the agenda for Council to consider ordering the preparation of a Feasibility Report
for the South Rose Park Area Improvements, City Project #325. The 2001 Budget includes
funding for the reconstruction of Canada Avenue, 151" Street and Carrousel Way. The
improvements will include minor watermain improvements and trunk storm sewer along with
installation of sidewalks and lighting in this commercial area.
A Feasibility Report completed in 1994 recommended the installation of a right turn lane from
eastbound CSAH 42 to Canada Avenue. We will be initiating discussions with Dakota County
about including this improvement into this project.
The funding for the project will come from assessments, the Capital Improvement Plan Funds,
Water Core Funds and Storm Water Operating Funds. This was project was originally intended
to be constructed in 2000, but due to staff time constraints was moved into the 2001 CIP.
The completion of the Feasibility Report will include preliminary surveying, which will be
completed over the next month.
Staff recommends adopting the attached resolution to direct Staff to begin work on the South
Rose Park Area Improvements.

A RESOLUTION ORDERING A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR
THE SOUTH ROSE PARK AREA IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT #325
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount deems it necessary to investigate
the feasibility of the South Rose Park Area Improvements, City Project #325.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Staff is directed to have the necessary feasibility
report prepared for the South Rose Park Area Improvements, City Project #325.
ADOPTED this 21 st day of November, 2000.
