The item is on the agenda for Council to consider ordering the preparation of a Feasibility Report
for Phase 2 of the Section 31 Trunk Sewer Improvements, City Project #324. The first phase of
this project was developed early this spring in conjunction with the CSAH 46 project and
consisted of the sanitary sewer within the north connecting road of new TH 3. At the time the
project was ordered, it was assumed that the sanitary sewer would be constructed in 2000,
however due to the County's schedule, we are planning to bid the 1' phase in early 2001.
Phase 2 will be extending the sanitary sewer to the west, under the railroad tracks to the
existing stub at Chippendale Avenue and 158th Street West.
The funding for this project will come from the Sanitary Sewer Core Facility Fund.
Staff will be assigning this project to SEH, Incorporated since they have done the design work
for the first phase. We are requesting the initiation of this project now before the development
of the abutting property (Secure Mini Storage) to the south. The sanitary sewer will also serve
future phases of the Rosemount Business Park.
Staff is recommends adopting the attached resolution to direct Staff to begin work on the
Section 31 Trunk Sewer Improvements, Phase 2.

A RESOLUTION ORDERING A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR
THE SECTION 31 TRUNK SEWER IMPROVEMENTS, PHASE 2
CITY PROJECT #324
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount deems it necessary to investigate
the feasibility of the Section 31 Trunk Sewer Improvements, Phase 2, City Project #324.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Staff is directed to have the necessary feasibility
report prepared for the Section 31 Trunk Sewer Improvements, Phase 2, City Project
#324.
ADOPTED this 21 st day of November, 2000.
