Pete Linder expressed his willingness to move the flower mart to a location more acceptable to
the City Council. In the att letter, he indicates that the site alongside the Knowlan's
building is unworkable for 4 number of reasons. The two options are:
Site "1" Located on the eastern "bank" of double - loaded parking spaces. Essentially the
same arrangement as last year, but moved ninety feet to the east.
Site "T' Located along the eastern and outer edge of the parking lot, across from Pizza
Hut.
Staff's preference is Site l . This is because the arrangement has no impact on the parking
circulation pattern as defined by the striping of the parking lot. As well, there is available
parking on all sides of the flower mart.
The attached correspondence from Marie Aarthun and Yvonne Schirk express support for the
flower mart. Staff also received a petition with about 875 signatures. It has not been attached
because of its bulk, but is available for review in the Planning Department.
If enough Councilmembers indicate support for the revised proposal, then staff will place the
item on a regular Council meeting agenda under "Old Business ".
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
No action is requested, However, direction regarding the relative acceptability of one of the two site
options is requested.

This letter is to express the of Rosemount Properties for Linden's Flower Market to be
placed in the prarinng lot in from o Knowlan s Market again true year. Lase year Cinder's Flower
Market was a wonderful draw to shopping center and area as a whole. Not only did they
provide a wonderful addition to tenant ma , we had no management problems amociated with
their operation whatsoever.
