This project is the 1999 Structural Overlay Improvement project which will include a bituminous overlay and the installation of shoulder material on 131 st Street, Charlston Way, Charlston Court in the Rosemount Hills 3rd Addition. The total estimated project cost is 567,800. Per the Assessment Policy, 35% of the cost of the project is to be assessed against benefiting properties which equates to $23,730. Spreading this amount over 32 units equates to 5742 per parcel. The remaining $44,070 will be funded by the 1999 Operating Budget. Staffs recommendation is to move forward with the project and adopt the resolution below. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount orders the preparation of plans and specifications for said improvements of City Project No. 306. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota: 1 . Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications for City Project #306. 3. The advertisement shal� be published in each of said publications at least once not less than ten (10) days before the date set for opening bids, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be publicly opened on June 11 , 1999 at 10:00 o'clock a.m. at Rosemount City Hall in said City and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's _ � RESOLUTION 1999-50 check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five (5%) percent of the amount of such bid.
