This is a recommendation for the City Council to appoint Jay Ford to this position. This assignment is for three years and woul_d be effective Ma*ch �, 1999 to March 1, 2001. Firefi�hter Ford, who currently serves as the secretary, was the only applicant for the position. Firefighter Ford has done an excellent job in this position, and I.recommend his appointment. RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPOINT JAY FORD AS SECRETARY FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR A PERIOD OF MARCH 1, 1999 TO MARCH 1, 2001.
