For City Council consideration and approval is a request to approve a three-percent annual adjustment to the
salary ranges of nonunion regular full-time employees for the Year 1999. Staff also requests that Section 24,
entitled Holidays, of the City Personnel Policy be amended to include the afternoon (one-half day) on Christmas
Eve as a paid holiday. This recommendation is for the following positions:
Public Works Director Police Chief Finance Director
Community Development Director Parks & Recreation Director Lieutenant
Assistant to Administrator Public Works Superintendent Building Official
City Planner Civil Engineer Community Center Manager
Arena Manager Recreation Supervisors Administrative Assistant
Planning/Personnel Secretary
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE A THREE PERCENT ADNSTMENT TO
SALARY RANGES FOR THE YEAR 1999 AND TO AMEND THE CITY PERSONNEL POLICY TO
INCLUDE ONE HALF DAY ON CHRISMAS EVE AS A HOLIDAY FOR THE ABOVE LISTED
POSITIONS.
