It has been a privilege and honor for me to serve the residents of Rosemount as a city
councit member for the past 11 '/2 years.
It is with sincere regrets that I find it necessary to resign from the Rosemount City
Council effective June 30, 1999. My employer is consolidating a number of
administrative functions in the Kansas City area and I am one of the approximately 240
employees from around the U.S. that are being transferred to K.C.
I want to express my thanks and appreciation to the residents for giving me the
opportunity to serve on the City Council. It has been an enjoyable experience and has
allowed me to meet many interesting people.
And a special thank you to my family for their support and understanding, as the
responsibilities of being a city council member do require a significant time commitment.
I believe our city is in capable hands with our current mayor and city council,
commission members, and city staff. I urge residents to stay involved in local
government issues and continue to strive to maintain the community's vision.
. Jane and I have thoroughly enjoyed living in this area and certainly have mixed
emotions about moving. We do plan to keep in touch with what is happening in
Rosemount and we expect to move back to this area in the future.
