This is a request for the City Council to hire six new firefighters for the Rosemount Fire Department. In
September, Chief Aker, Lieutenant Bailey and myself interviewed the below-named persons and concurred they
met the requirements. They have also cleared the background checks, and the next step in the hiring process is
to send them for pre-employment physicals and drug testing. Before we continue on and expend additional
funds, staff would like to receive City Council authorization to hire these six men. Therefore your approval to
hire would be contingent upon each candidate successfully passing the pre-employment examination and drug
test.
The names of the candidates we recommend for hiring are Chris Dyson, Steve Turner, Jeremy Ladzun,Rick
Samson, Bob Golla and Doug Orlien.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTIO\'TO APPROVE THE HIRING OF THE ABOVE-NAMED
INDIVIDUALS FOR THE POSITION OF FIREFIGHTER SUBJECT TO SUCESSFULLY PASSING PRE-
EMPLOYMENT PHYSICALS AND DRUG TESTING
