This item requests the second and final payment to Barbarossa & Sons, Inc. In the
amount of $12,086.84 for City Project #296, the Fleet Development Sanitary Sewer
Improvements.
The original contract amount was 560,038.99. Total construction cost, including this
final payment is 560,125.24. Upon final payment, a two-year warranty period begins
(until June 1 , 2001) on the utilities. The City also accepts these facilities for perpetual
maintenance.
Attached is a copy of the Construction Pay Voucher #2 and final for your information.
Staff and WSB and Associates recommend approval of this second and final payment
request and acceptance of the utilities for perpetual maintenance.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE PAYMENT #2 AND FINAL TO
BARBAROSSA & SONS, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $12,086.84 FOR THE FLEET
DEVELOPMENT SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT #296 AND ACCEPT
THE UTILITIES FOR PERPETUAL MAINTENANCE.

Dear Mayor and Council Members:
Enclosed are three (3) copies of the Final Construction Pay Voucher No. 2 for the referenced
project in the amount of$12,086.84. We recommend fmal payment subject to receipt of the
following items:
1) Satisfactory showing that the contractor has complied with the provisions of Minnesota
Statutes 290.92 requiring withholding state income tax and;
2) Evidence in the form of an affidavit that all claims against the contractor by reasons of
the contract have been fully paid or satisfactorily secured.
