This is to honor Minnesota's finest student-athletes. The attached proclamation will be brought to that event to support Megan Johnson and congratulate her. As Mayor of Rosemount I highly recommend a motion to approve this proclamation. RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION to approve a Proclamation declaring October 17, 1999 as Official Megan Johnson Rosemount Hometown Day in the City of Rosemount. We will be honoring Megan and the city of Rosemount on Sunday October 17,1999 at 1 p.m. during the halftime of the Minnesota vs. Illinois State soccer match. We would like to invite you and other representatives from the city to be a part of this special day for Megan. At this celebration,we would like to ask if the mayor or a representative of the city could present a proclamation to Megan for MEGAN jOHNSON'S HOMETOWN DAY. A Sample prodamation is enclosed for your reference. This celebration is one of ten HOMETOWN DAYS,a promotion designed to salute some of Minnesota's finest student-athletes. During its inaugural season in 1989-90,Hometown Days honored 15 student-athletes from 13 Minnesota hometowns.
