HEADS REPORT PREPARED BY: CATHY BUSHO, MAYOR AGEN��� � � ("') t� ATTACHMENTS: COMMISSION LIST APPROVED BY: The City Council conducted interviews of commission and committee applicants on Saturday, January 23, 1999, for open positions on the Parks and Recreation Committee,Planning Commission, Port Authority Commission, and Utilities Commission. Nine people were inten�iewed with the following appointments: Parks and Recreation: Kelly Sampo (3 yr term), Phillip Sterner(3 yr term), and Keith Knautz (1 yr term) Planning Commission: Sheila Klassen(3 yr term), Kim Shoe-Comgan(3 yr term) Port Authority Commission: Ena Cisewski (4 yr term), Kevin Carroll (6 yr term) Utilities Commission: Paul Heimkes (3 yr term) The Parks & Recreation Committee will consider adding a student committee member with a one year term. The new members will be sworn into their appropriate commission at their first meeting held in February. The Council made a formal motion for appointments at the January 23, 1999, meeting. This is the public announcement of that motion. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Public announcement of new Commission/Committee appointments.
