Parks and Recreation Director Jim Topitzhofer has submitted his resignation effective April 16, 1999. He has
accepted a position with the City of Richfield. Jim's management style, skills, abilities and most of all his
enthusiasm will be greatly missed. Staff is looking for direction on whether or not you want to use a consultant
for recruiting a new parks and recreation director.

Dear Tom:
With both high hopes and regrets I am notifying you of my resignation as Parks and
Recreation Director for the City of Rosemount, effective April 16, 1999. I have accepted
a position with the City of Richfield and look forward to the opportunities and challenges
ahead of ine.
I regret leaving behind the support and friendships I graciously received in Rosemount. I
will especially miss my association with you. As a result of your coaching and
professionalism, I have grown considerably in my effectiveness as a director. Thank you
for your support and encouragement.
