Summary and Drawin The City received a petition for public improvements from Jim Allen of Hampton Development on November 20, 1998 and a Feasibility Report was ordered at the December 1 , 1998 Council meeting. Attached is a copy of the Executive Summary from the Feasibility Report and drawings of the project. The proposed improvements include all the streets and utilities needed to serve the single- family residential lots in the Shannon Pond South Addition. The total estimated project cost is 5732,000 which includes all legal, engineering, administration and finance costs. There is a cost as described in the report for watermain oversizing which will be paid from the City Water Core Fund. With the recommended action as stated below, the plans and specifications would be presented to Council at their February 2nd meeting for a proposed February 26th bid opening date. Construction could begin in mid March, weather permitting. Staff recommends that the City Council take the action as described below. RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE FEASIBILITY REPORT, APPROVING THE PROJECT AND ORDERING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE SHANNON POND SOUTH ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT #288. COUNCIL ACTION: 1 - � CITY OF ROSEMOUNT DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 1999 - A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE FEASIBILITY REPORT, APPROVING THE PROJECT AND ORDERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE SHANNON POND SOUTH ADDITION STREET & UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT #288 WHEREAS, pursuant to the resolutions of the Council adopted on December 1 , 1998, a report has been prepared by the City Engineer with reference to the improvement of Shannon Pond South Addition Street & Utility Improvements, City Project #288, and this report was received by the Council on January 19, 1999, and WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEMOUNT,MINNESOTA: 1 . The Council will consider the improvements in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated cost of the improvements of 5732,000. 2. Such improvements are hereby ordered as proposed pursuant to a petition by the affected property owner. 3.
