This is a recommendation for the Council to hire Alan W:Strand as a Building Inspector for the City of
Rosemount. Mr. Strand was one of the four applicants we interviewed for this position, and he was clearly the
most qualified. Mr. Strand impressed the interview panel with his positive attitude, good communication skills
and knowledge of building codes and how to work with residents and developers. He has been an inspector
with the City of Hastings for the past two years. Staff recommends that Council approve the hiring of Alan W.
Strand for the position of Building Inspector.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE ALAN W. STRAND FOR THE POSITION OF
