At the August 3, 1999 Council Meeting the Council moved to adopt an ordinance regulating tattoo and body
piercing establishments. The motion to adopt the ordinance did not include adoption of the license fee
resolution. This item is on the agenda to adopt a fee resolution for business and personal licenses for tattoo and
body piercing establishments and operators.
Fees for the licenses associated with the ordinance are$250 for a business license and$25 for a personal service
license.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE FEES
FOR BUSINESS LICENSES FOR TATTOO AND BODY PIERCING ESTABLISHMENTS AND
PERSONAL SERVICE LICENSES FOR TATTOO AND BODY PIERCING OPERATORS.

RESOLUTION 1999--
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE FEES FOR BUSINESS LICENSES FOR
TATTOO AND BODY PIERCING ESTABLISHMENTS AND PERSONAL SERVICE
LICENSES FOR TATTOO AND BODY PIERCING OPERATORS
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the City to protect the public health, safety and welfare of the
community, and
WHEREAS,the City Council recognizes that the operation of tattoo and body piercing
establishments present a public health, safety and welfare concern, and
WHEREAS,the City Council finds it necessary to establish an ordinance and permit fees to
license and regulate tattoo and body piercing establishments.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,that the City Council of the City of Rosemount
hereby establishes the fee for an annual tattoo or body piercing business license to be two-
hundred, fifty(250) dollars and the fee for an annual tattoo or body piercing personal service
license to be twenty-five (25) dollars.
ADOPTED this 17TH day of August 1999, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount.
