This item requests the first payment to Ryan Contracting Company in the amount of
5429,271 .51 for City Project #309, the Biscayne Pointe 2nd Addition Street and Utility
Improvements.
Work completed and represented in this payment as of October 15, 1999 is 55% of
contracted work. The work has been inspected and is in compliance with the Contract
Documents.
This payment covers most of the utility construction. If weather cooperates, curb &
gutter and street paving could be completed by mid-November.
Attached is a copy of the Construction Pay Voucher #1 for your information. Staff and
SEH, Inc., recommend approval of this first payment.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE PAYMENT #1 TO RYAN CONTRACTING
COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $429,271 .51 FOR THE BISCAYNE POINTE 2ND ADDITION
STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT #309.

Attached is the first Application for Payment for the above-referenced project. The amount due on
this application is $429,271.51, which is about 55 percent of the bid amount of$779,575.35. The
work to date includes sanitary sewer, water main and storm sewer construction.
We recommend the City make payment on this Application for Payment in the amount of
$429,271.51 to Ryan Contracting Co.
