RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to accept the resignation of Susan Walsh,Assistant to the City Administrator/City Clerk. COUNCIL ACTION: December 14, 1999 Mr. Thomas D. Burt, City Administrator City of Rosemount 2875 — 145th Street West Rosemount,MN 55068 Dear Tom: Please accept this letter as my formal notice of resignation from the City of Rosemount effective December 31, 1999. I have accepted the position of Assistant City Manager/Personnel Director with the City of Prior Lake. At the risk of sounding too nostalgic,I do remember my first day on the job with the City when there were just a few of us crowded in the little city hall out on 42. I thought to myself, boy, what am I getting into here. But, those were good thoughts and I have always enjoyed working for the City of Rosemount since day one. I never thought that I would be the one saying goodbye to the citizens and employees of Rosemount this soon, but I cannot resist or ignore the opportunity to go forward in my career and face new challenges. I want to personally thank you for all of your support. Your support allowed me to grow professionally and to gain confidence in my own skills and abilities. It has been great working with you these past six years, and I'll miss you and many other employees that work for the City. Many of Rosemount's employees have made a difference in the City's growth and changes over the years, and I can only hope that my small contribution helped make a difference too. Sincerely, '"'- Susan M. Walsh
