This is a request for Council consideration to approve Staff's recommendation for the
hiring of a person for the Water Resource Coordinator position. The City received
approximately twenty-five (25) applications for the Water Resource Coordinator position.
Sue Walsh and myself interviewed six (6) people and two were brought back for a second
interview.
It is Staff's recommendation to approve the hiring of Alyson Morris for this position. Ms.
Morris most recently has been employed with a Metro area consulting firm and has a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Ms. Morris has an excellent work history
and good experience. If approved, Ms. Morris would begin with the City on May 10th.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO AUTHORIZE THE HIRING OF ALYSON MORRIS AS
WATER RESOURCES COORDINATOR SUBJECT TO THE PASSING OF THE PRE-
EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL AND DRIVER'S LICENSE CHECK.
