SUBJECT: Y2K Update
Since the last update the following activities have taken place related to Y2K:
❖ An informational sheet explaining the city's preparation for Y2K and suggestions for
personal preparation was sent to all the churches within Rosemount. The churches
were asked to distribute the information through their newsletter or by posting it in
their building.
❖ Personnel from Public Works,Fire and Police have been scheduled for additional
hours from December 31 through January 2.
❖ Police staff inet with Eagan PD staff to discuss dispatch staffing and communications
issues. Eagan is also working with other Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) to
coordinate contingency plans for communication.
❖ Dakota County Emergency Management and their Y2K Coordinator are coordinating
the development of contact lists for the cities within Dakota County for use by
emergency and EOC personnel.
