The message continues to be that it is expected that everything will work normally,but that preparations have been made to address any unusual activity that occurs due to computer glitches or the partying that is expected to accompany the amval of the new millennium. ❖ Additional communication has been sent to Rosemount residents through the December utility billing. A copy is attached. ❖ The Minnesota State Patrol will have additional troopers and other resources working on December 31. This includes response teams of troopers assigned to be available to respond to any areas of "civil unrest" or other major incident. They will also have three helicopters in the air that night for support. Their intent, as is ours, is to be very visible as a reminder that law enforcement is prepared and ready to respond. ❖ Frontier Communications will have a Command Center operational in Burnsville. They will have staff available as resource persons for the communities that Frontier serves. Arlditonal staffing for Public Works and Police for December 31 through January 2 is as follows: PW-- December 31, 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Four public works staff on duty; all others are on-call. Police December 31, 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Lt. Kuhns, Officers Sommers and Todd Winters January 1-2 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Chief Kalstabakken and Inv. Robideau 4:00 p.m. - Midnight Officer Sommers 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Lt.
