We reached tentative agreements on the fallowing items and recommend that Council approve these changes: . (1) 3%wage increase for 1997 and 1998. {2) Increase clothing allowance by $25 for 1991 and 1998 whereby the clothing allowance would be $550 in 1997 and $575 in 1998. (3) Change vacation accrual rates to be the same amount that is being proposed for all employees groups as follows: During lst year of ernployment Change from earning 5.33 hrs/mo to 6.67 hrs/mo. During 2nd thru 3rd yr. 8 hrs/mo. (no change) During 4th thru l Oth yr. 12 hrs/mo. (no change) During 1 lth thru 15th yr. 14 hrs/mo (no change) During 16th yr. and above Change from eaming 14 hrs/mo to lb hrs/ma (4) Funeral leave will be the same as outlined in the city Personnel Policy a.nd as offered to all other employee groups. (5) Eliminate the 40 hour restriction on the amount of sick leave that an employee can sell at a pro-rated amount if the employee has over 480 hours of accumulated sick leave. AFSCME and nonunion employees may sell any amount of hours over 480, and we reeommend that LELS employees being able to do the same. (7) Employee assigned the position of investigator will receive an additional$100 a month. Staff feels these salary and benefit changes are appropriate and recomrriend approval. � � RECO1k.�VIVIENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE TI�ABOVE SALARY AND BENEFIT CHANGES TO BE INCORPORATE INTO THE 1997-98 LABOR AGREEMENT BETWEEN LELS AND THE CITY OF ROSEMOUNT AND TO AUTHORIZE TI�NECESSARY SIGNATURES �F TI-�NEW LABOR AGREEMENT.
