This Change Order addresses water service connections to the existing homes at 4275
and 4255 145th Street West and to extend the contract time to account for a delay in
the start of the project.
Originally this project was just going to hook the homes at 4275 and 4255 145th Street
up to sanitary sewer constructed with improvements in the Hawkins Pond Addition.
Water services were already in place on 145th Street for these two homes, but during
the course of the Hawkins Pond project the homeowners requested that they be hooked
up to City water at the same time as they were being hooked up to the sewer. Also by
having the City Contractor complete their water service connection to their home they
could apply the costs to their assessments, as was approved by the City Attorney.
Delays beyond the control of the contractor prevented them from starting the project for
15 days. This Change Order will extend the final completion date (except wear course)
to September 15, 1997.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO AUTHORIZE APPROVAL AND NECESSARY
SIGNATURES FOR CHANGE ORDER #1 TO THE HAWKINS POND STREET AND UTILITY
IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT #275.
