Schedule
The purpose of this item is to conduct a Public Hearing to receive input and consider for
approval the Brockway Draw Trunk Sanitary Sewer Improvements, City Project #286. �
The City received a petition and ordered a Feasibility Report on Juty 1 , 1997 and ,
received the Feasibility Report on September 2, 1997. The Feasibility Report outlines the
proposed project which would provide sanitary sewer service to the new MUSA addition. ��,
The proposed facility will connect with the existing MCES interceptor in Section 28 north II'
of CSAH 42 in the CMC Heartland Partners 226 acre site. It will extend northwesterly '',
crossing the CP/UP Railroad tracks and into the Biscayne Pointe plat. We are considering '
only a Phase I construction with this Public Hearing. '
The total estimated project cost for the first phase is 5498,000. Most of the cost will be '
assessed through lateral benefit or trunk area assessments to the benefiting area. A '
portion of the cost, 552,030 is proposed to come from the City's sanitary sewer core '
fund. '
The schedule is attached which allows for the time needed to deal with a railroad '
crossing permit and to subs#antiate the alignment through the CMC Heartland Partners '
site. We have had discussions with CMCs engineer and will be awaiting the proposed
concept plan which has been received by the City and is beginning the review process.
Short-Elliott-Hendrickson, Inc. the consultant used for this project and Staff recommend
that the action be taken as stated below. �

A RESOLUTION FOR THE APPROVAL AND ORDERING THE PREPARATION
OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
BROCKWAY DRAW TRUNK SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT #286
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount ordered a feasibility report for the
Brockway Draw Trunk Sanitary Sewer Improvements, City Project #286; and
WHEREAS, the Ci#y Council has received and accepted the Feasibility Report on September
2, 1997 for City Project #286; and
WHEREAS, the City Council ordered and held a public hearing on October 7, 1997 to receive
input of this project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount hereby
orders the improvements of the Brockway Draw Trunk Sanitary Sewer Improvements, City I
Project #286.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount orders the I�I
preparation of plans and specifications for said improvements of City Project No. 286. '�
ADOPTED this 7th day of October, 1997. '

regarding the proposed Brockway Draw Trunk Sanitary Sewer Improvements for

BROCKWAY DRAW TRUNK SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT #286
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
IVOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota will meet
at 8:00 o'clock p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, Tuesday, October 7, 1997 in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall, 2875 145th Street West, to consider the follawing improvements
City Project #286 - Brockway Draw Trunk Sanitary Sewer Improvements
The nature of improvements shall include the construction of sanitary sewer and appurtenant
work..
The total estimated cost of said improvements is 5498,000.
The area proposed to be assessed for the foregoing improvements would be all that area generally
described as: Parcel Identification Numbers 34-02810-010-25; 010-15; 010-32; and 010-07 North
'/2 Section 28, Township 115 North, Range 19 West as recorded in the City of Rosemount, Dakota
County, Minnesota.
Such person(s) as desires to be heard with reference to the proposed improvements will be heard
at this meeting. Written or oral opinion will be considered.
