The company was established in 1973,when Mr. C.O. Solberg sold o�his asphalt paving division and it was�nuchased by ihe corporation.Family ownership consists of:Lyle Jacoby, Ed Jacoby,Jce Jacoby and Rich Jacoby,of which three reside in Inver Grove and one in Vermillion Township. We seasonally employ 35 people and ihe main type of work we perform is commercial parking lot construction/maintenance along with some street projects.We also produce hot mix for the State,Dakota and Goodhue Counties and many area municipalities. We are currentty trying to relocate our asphalt piant site due to the eapansion of the Koch Refining Company. We have purchased a newer asphalt bratch plant for this relocation.The batch plant will allow us to operate at a lugher efficiency and will have all the modem features fihat the Pollution Control Agency requires.(We aze monitored by the"PCA"through a self monitoring process,due W the fact we have such low emissions.) In order to be competative and to keep this area as our marketplace,we are currendy looking to the Danner property on the south side of Co. 42. (East of 52/56).We feel it would be ideal for four reasons,these being: 1.Aggregate source on site. (Remove aggegates now before development takes place) 2.Located on a major county road which could support traffic.(As per our conversations with Mr.Dave Everds/Dakota County Engineer) 3. Secluded site. 4. 1.5 miles from current location.
