The report addresses the project which would include total street and utility reconstruction of Cameo Avenue from 145th Street to 143rd Street, 143rd Street from the school to Trunk Highway 3, 144th Street from Cameo Avenue to the west as required. The report also addresses the replacement of utilities and an overlay on Canada Avenue from 145th to 144th and on 144th from Cantata easterly as necessary. The total estimated project cost is approximately $1,160,000. Funding for the project will come from the storm water core and utility funds, sanitary sewer core and operating funds, the water core and operating funds, assessments, the 1997 general operating fund for street maintenance, and the 1997 CIP items. The details of the #unding are as shown on the attached summary. The project schedule is also attached for your information. We are planning on having an informational rneeting on Wednesday, January 15, 1997 to answer as many questions as possible prior to the public hearing for the improvement which is scheduled for the next council meeting, January 21, 1997. If approved, the construction will begin on June 16 and be completed by September 1, 1997. Staff and the consultant for the project, WSB and Associates, will provide a brief overvievfr of the project at tonight`s meeting and answer any questions that council may have. Staff recommends the action as stated below. NOW THEREFORE IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount that the public hearing be scheduled to consider City Project #277, 1997 Street & Utility Reconstruction Improvements to be held on Tuesday, January 21, 1997 at 8:00 o'cfock p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY City Project Na 277 provides for the street and utility reconstruction on Canada Avenue from 145th Street to 144th Street, Cameo Avenue from 145th Street to 143rd Street, 144th Street from Cantata Avenue to Cameo Avenue, and 143rd Street from Trunk Highway 3 (TH 3) to the School Property. This project has been entitled the 1997 Street and Utility Reconstruction Project This Feasibility Report outlines the proposed reconstruction of approximately 2700 feet of 32-foot to 44-foot wide urban sectioned streets, complete with bituminous paving, concrete curb and gutter, and sidewalks. Also proposed is the reglacement of approximately 250Q feet of watermain, and 2100 feet of sanitary sewer main, approximately 30 sewer and water services, and the new installation of 1100 feet of storm sewer ranging from 12 inches to 36 inches in diameter. The total estimated project cost is $1,163,400.
