Q Attachments: Amendment Draft Approved By: Currently, Rosemount's sign ordinance has no definition for sidewalk signs. As a result, all sidewalk signs fall under the portable sign defuution and are allowed to be displayed only six (6) times a year for a maximum of ten (10) days per permit. Following suggestions from the Rosemount Commercial Plan Focus Committee, City Sta.ff recommended implementation of a separate sidewalk sign definition and amendment. In addition, a memo was sent to approxirnately 20 downtown businesses (see attachment). At the March 11, 1997 meeting of the Planning Commission, two area.businesses expressed strong desire of ordinance passage.
