This is a request for the City Council to consider the hiring of Chad Rosa to fill the vacant position as a result of
Grant Thorstad's resignation on May 22, 1997. Chad Rosa has been employed by the city as a Community
Service Officer since June 1995 and also worked for the city of Lakeville as a CSO and park ranger. He has an
Associate of Arts degree in Law Enforcement and is post certified. In the position of the city's CSO, he has
demonstrated a high degree of initiative, customer service professionalism. He meets a11 the minimum
requirements of the police officer position.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE TF�HIltING OF CHAD ROSA AS A POLICE
OFFICER SUBJECT TO A SUCCESSFUL BACKGROUND CHECK, PSYCHOLOGICAL, PRE-
EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL AND DRUG TEST
