This item is a request for Council to approve the Plans and Specifications and Order the
Advertisement for Bids for the Geronime Pond Street and Utility Improvements, City
Project #280. We have a set of Plans and Specifications on file in my office for your
examination. Previously, the Councii received a Feasibility Report on March 4, 1997 and
ordered the preparation of Plans and Specifications on March 18, 1997.
The bid opening date has been set for June 13, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. at City Hall. On
June 17, 1997, Council mayl be asked to award the contract for this project depending
on the developer having executed a subdivision agreement. The project is scheduled to
begin in late June or earfy July.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION RECEIVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING AD FOR BID FOR GERONIME POND STREET AND UTILITY
IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT #280. �

RESOLUTION 1997 -
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS
GERONIME POND STREET & UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT #280
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount have ordered the preparation of plans
and specifications for Geronime Pond Street & Utility Improvements, City Project #280 and
such plans and specifications have been presented to this Council for approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota:
1 . Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the
office of the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper
and the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications for City Project #280 .
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not
less than three (3) weeks before the date set for opening bids, shall specify the work
to be done, shall state that bids will be publicly opened on June 13, 1997 at 10:00
o'clock a.m. at Rosemount City Hall in said City and that no bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit,
cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five (5%)
percent of the amount of such bid.
