Staff invited Limerick Way residents to meet to discuss installation of a fence and safety concerns. Three
residents, consisting of the resident managers and one other person, attended our meeting.
They supported the idea of the fence for safety reasons. We discussed the length of the fence, and we all agreed
the length should just be the 150 feet length of the parking lot. The residents had suggested the possibility of
connecting the fence into Wensmann's existing fence to reduce the possibility of trespassers into the aparhnent
complex. We agreed that the shorter fence just the length of the parking lot would be most appropriate.
The resident managers were also concerned with the height and building materials used for the fence. They
indicated that the owners of the complex would like to have a wooden fence. Staff priced out two types of
fence. Wood fence would cost approximately$3,000. Estimated cost for vinyl clad fence was $5500. A third i
option is to install chain link which would cost far lesser than the above amounts. 'i
Staff seeks Council input on what type of fence you would like installed for this area.
