This resolution is formally calling for a public heaxing for the proposed tax increment financing(TIF) district
and associated plan for Endres Processing. The Rosemount Port Authority also has a proposed resolution on
its agenda for February 18, 1997.
Ehlers and Associates will prepare the plan documents for the City, and information will subsequently be sent to
the Planning Commission, School Board and County Board for their respective reviews.
RECOMMENDED ACTIQN: MOTION to Adopt a Resolution Calling for a Public Hearing by the City
on the Proposed Adoption of the li�odification to the Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project No. 1,
and the Proposed Establishment of the Endres Tax Increment Financing District therein, and the Proposed
Adoption of a Tax Increment Financing Plan therefor.

RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING BY THE CITY ON THE
PROPOSED ADOPTION OF THE MODIFICATION TO THE REDEVELOPMENT
PLAN FOR REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT NO. 1, AND THE PROPOSED
ESTABLISHMENT OF THE ENDRES TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT
THEREIN,AND THE PROPOSED ADOPTION OF A TAX INCREMENT FINANCING
PLAN THEREFOR
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council (the"Council") for the City of Rosemount, Minnesota
(the"City", as follows:
Section 1. Public Hearin�. This Council shall meet on Tuesday, April 1, 1997, at
appro�mately 8:00 p.m., to hold a public hearing on the proposed adoption of the Modification
to the Redevelopment Plan for Redevelopment Project No. l, the proposed establishment of the
Endres Tax Increment Financing District, (an economic development district), and the proposed
adoption of a Tax Increment Financing Plan therefor, all pursuant to and in accordance with
Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.001 through 469.047, inclusive, as amended, and Minnesota
Statutes, Sections 469.174 through 469.1�9, inclusive, as amended, in an effort to encourage the
development and redevelopment of certain designated areas within the City; and
Section 2. Notice of Public Hearing„Filing of Plans. City staff is authorized and
directed to prepare the Modification to the Redevelopment Plan and the TaY Increment Financing
Plan (the"Plans") and to forward documents to the appropriate taxing jurisdictions including
Dakota County and Independent School District No. 196. The City Clerk is authorized and
directed to cause notice of the hearing, together with an appropriate map as required by law, to be
published at least once in the official newspaper of the City not later than 10, nor more than 30,
days prior to April l, 1997, and to place a copy of the Plans on file in the City Clerk's office at
City Hall and to make such copy available for inspection by the public.
