y Co ncil considerahon is a request to sell the followmg vehicles at the Dakota County auction
scheduled in October: '
Two 1995 Ford Crown Vics with mileage of 73,000 and 63,000(squad cars) I
One 1983 Ford jet truck �
1990 Ford LTD with 100,200 miles. '
The minimum bids far the 1995 Crown Vics will be set at$7,000. Proceeds for the squads will offset the funds
used to purchased two new squads this year. If the city does not receive the minimum bid of$7,000 for each, '
then staff will auction the cars elsewhere or sell the cars ourselves.
The jet truck and 1990 LTD are from the maintenance department. The LTD is an old squad car and was
replaced with a pickup truck. The jet truck needs to be sold due to high maintenance costs.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO DECLARE THE ABOVE-REFERENCED CITY
VEHICLES AND TO AUTHORIZE STAFF TO SELL
