ATTACHMENTS: APPROVED BY: RESOLUTION On February 12, 1996 the Rosemount Police Department impounded a 1988 Polaris "Cyclone" All Terrain Vehicle. The vehicle was impounded due to the fact that the serial number had been altered. The rightful owner has not been located and no one has come forth showing proper proof of ownership. It is the wish of the police department to retain possession of this vehicle for public safety use in accordance with City Ordinance 7-6-4-3 . RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RETENTION OF A SEIZED A.T.V. FOR PUBLIC SAFETY USE. COUNCIL ACTION: • ., it)k, CITY OF ROSEMOUNT DAKOTA COUNTY,MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 1996- A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RETENTION OF A SEIZED ATV FOR PUBLIC SAFETY USE WHEREAS, Rosemount City Ordinance 7-6-4-3 requires a resolution to retain any motor vehicle for city use; and WHEREAS, on February 12, 1996 the Rosemount Police Department impounded a Polaris ATV without a serial number; and WHEREAS, the Police Department has been unable to locate the rightful owner and no one has come forward showing proper proof of ownership. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Rosemount hereby approves the retention of the above motor vehicle for use by the City of Rosemount relative to public safety.
