This item requests the ninth payment to Richard Knutson, Inc. in the amount of
$49,507.16 for City Project #249, Biscayne Avenue Improvements.
This payment is for the remainder of the work completed per Change Order No. 1 . The
work has been inspected and is in compliance with the specifications. It also includes a
reduction in the retainage from 5% to 2%. The reduction in retainage to 2% is sufficient
to cover the cost of retainage owed to subcontractors, plus the cost of punch list items
on previously completed work.
Work to be completed is the installation of the final lift of bituminous plus striping. This
is being held up while we are waiting for the railroad to adjust the rails at the crossing.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE PAYMENT #9 TO RICHARD KNUTSON,
INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $49,507.16 FOR THE BISCAYNE AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS, CITY
PROJECT #249.
